A POPULAR Kidderminster town centre micropub closed its doors for the final time on the weekend.

The Beer Emporium - Craft Beer and Cider House, on Oxford Street, hosted regulars including members of Wyre Forest Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) on Sunday (August 13).

Paying tribute to the bar and its owners, Wyre Forest CAMRA said: "Conflicting emotions on the last day for The Beer Emporium - Craft Beer and Cider House after 7 years of fine service to the people of Kidderminster and the many visitors to our town.

"Lynn and Peter Nuttall depart with clear consciences and with good memories".

Others thanked the owners for the "good times" they experienced at the establishment over the years on Facebook.

Terry Williams said: "To the good times. Thanks Peter and Lynn for the fine company you kept and the great beers, wines and ciders that you introduced to us all. Go well everyone. Cheers".

Konstantine Choo said: "Thank you for providing us a haven in the midst of uncertainties for the past seven years, we were extremely privileged to have the opportunity to frequent The Beer Emporium for the warmest hospitality and sweet memories.

"We shall dearly miss two of the most generous and kind-hearted souls in the neighbourhood".

"Thank you so much for all the good times, our trips to Kidderminster will never be the same," Tim Marris added.
